The Giving Tree
Our annual Giving Tree is back this year starting on Small Business Saturday, November 26. Through this program, generous friends and neighbors (like you!) visit the tree, grab a gift tag for a person in need, and use the info on that tag to purchase a holiday gift for that human.
The tree will contain gift tags from two different nonprofit partners: Denver Housing Authority and Optimists Club. Each gift tag includes the name and details about a person in our community who may not otherwise receive Christmas gifts this year.
Pick a tag off the tree, use the info listed on the tag to select a Christmas gift for that person, wrap the gift, securely fasten the tag to the gift, and then bring it back to our Giving Tree. Plan on spending around $25 per gift.
Through this program, we collect 500 gifts for people in need every year, and we hear from our friends at Denver Housing Authority and the Optimist Club how happy these gifts make their recipients.
We couldn’t do this without your help, so thank you in advance once again for bringing surprise, delight, and holiday cheer to others this season.
